About us

Within Psychiatry Psychosis, all psychosis care for the entire Gothenburg area and surrounding municipalities is gathered.

Advanced Psychiatry in the Home (APIH) is an outpatient clinic that caters to individuals with psychotic disorders. Our outpatient clinic specializes in patients with complex and multifaceted needs where comorbidity is common. The work with our patients largely takes place in their home environment.

The treatment model we work from is called R-ACT. It is an evidence-based method for treating patients with psychiatric/psychotic issues that focuses on the patient and their network. The unit includes specialist doctors, nurses, caregivers, social workers, psychologists, and secretaries. As a social worker with us, you will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside the clinic's other four social workers, with the opportunity to tailor care for the patient in dialogue with colleagues.

Job responsibilities

You will be a Case Manager, responsible for care and treatment interventions for a number of patients. Each patient has two contact persons.

As a Case Manager, you are a link in the contact with the patient and collaborate with the patient’s network, such as relatives, inpatient care, social services, and housing support. The work as a Case Manager includes treatment and assessments from a health and holistic perspective, as well as support for relatives. This is a varied and flexible assignment where you plan your own tasks. Our clinic caters to patients with greater needs than those at other outpatient clinics within psychiatry psychosis. Therefore, we have more resources, fewer patients per provider, and significant leeway to meet our patients' needs. You will work daytime from Monday to Friday.

About you

We are looking for a licensed healthcare social worker or social worker with professional experience from, for example, social services focused on functional support or experience working in healthcare. Experience in network work, collaboration, and psychiatry is an advantage.

You who start with us are stable and secure in yourself. You are good at collaborating, creating, and maintaining relationships with both patients, colleagues, and care neighbors. It is important that you can work long-term with motivation and are creative and flexible in your work. Since we work in teams, you need to be good at collaborating with colleagues. You should also be comfortable planning and prioritizing your work independently. We would like you to be interested in contributing to development work and improved care for our patients.

As there are many home visits involved in the work, it is advantageous if you have a driver’s license. An electric bike is also available for use in the position.
